In eFootball 6.1.0, correct an incorrect Country/Region of Residence through Extras → User Information → User Personal Information. You do not need a reset if your residence is already correct. Check before confirming: another reset is blocked for 180 days, and this setting concerns tournament eligibility rather than a manual choice of game server.
If a Championship event has disappeared, first check what your account actually says. Picking a popular country because someone promises better ping can leave you with incorrect personal information and a long wait to correct it.
What changed with v6.1.0?
KONAMI’s September 30 notice introduced revised eSports checks using both registered residence and the country from which you connect. It said an incorrect residence could be reset after v6.1.0. A tournament event may be unavailable or hidden when the required countries are outside its Area List.
That is a reason for competitors to review their details, not an instruction for every player to choose a different country. If your residence is correct, keep it. If you have moved or entered the wrong location, read the confirmation screen before resetting.
KONAMI also warns that your rights may not be properly protected when the registered residence differs from where you actually live.
How to check your registered country
- Open Extras in the game, then User Information.
- Enter User Personal Information.
- On mobile, open Country/Region of Residence. On PC or console, open Change Personal Information and inspect the residence information.
- Compare it with where you actually live. Viewing your details does not mean you should confirm a reset.
These are the English menu labels in KONAMI’s notice. If your game uses another language, follow the equivalent personal-information screens. This guide concerns the game’s residence setting; it is not a procedure for changing your store account or KONAMI ID profile.
Reset instructions for mobile, PC and consoles
Android and iPhone
Follow Extras → User Information → User Personal Information → Country/Region of Residence → Reset Country/Region of Residence. Read the warning, choose your actual residence from the available choices, and review it before confirming.
PC, PlayStation and Xbox
Follow Extras → User Information → User Personal Information → Change Personal Information → Reset Country/Region of Residence. Verify the country and the reset warning before completing the change. KONAMI groups PC and consoles under this same path in its October 9 instructions.
Can you change country again before 180 days?
The official rule is a 180-day interval after a reset. A spelling mistake or a country chosen to experiment with rewards is therefore worth avoiding. The checked notices do not describe a self-service bypass or promise that support will waive the wait.
If the button is unavailable, record the message and check whether you have already reset. If the screen behaves unexpectedly, contact support with a screenshot instead of deleting game data or creating a replacement account.
What does “Other Countries/Regions” mean for Club Events?
It is a residence selection label, not a selectable low-latency server. On October 9, KONAMI explained that it may be why a player cannot join the current Club Event. Residents of a country where the game is available through the store should reset to that actual, listed country. Choosing somewhere else may prevent advancement to later rounds.
The Championship region list also contains a catch-all “Other countries and regions” entry. Do not interpret that grouping as a guarantee that the in-game residence option qualifies for the current event: the dated Club Event clarification addresses that setting specifically.
If your real residence is not offered, the notice does not provide a guaranteed workaround. Ask KONAMI about your situation. Do not select a false country just to make a tournament appear.
Residence, connection location and servers are different
| Concept | What to check |
|---|---|
| Registered residence | The personal information you entered. Keep it accurate. |
| Accessing country | Where you are connecting from. A correct account entry alone does not settle all tournament checks. |
| Match server | The connection used for a match. KONAMI’s PvP explanation describes automatic selection using location and network conditions. |
For example, if you live in one country and are temporarily travelling in another, do not change your declared residence reflexively. Check the event’s rules for that situation. A VPN changes the connection path; it does not establish residence or guarantee eligibility or better matchmaking.
Country-change FAQ
Must everyone reset after the update?
No. Review the registered country and correct it if it is wrong. A correct residence does not need an experimental reset.
Does changing country fix “Failed to Connect with Opponent”?
No verified universal fix follows from the residence notices. Diagnose ordinary connection failures separately using the matchmaking troubleshooting guide.
Can a false country let me qualify?
Seeing an event is not proof you satisfy its later checks. Use your real residence and review the current competition rules.
What should I check before entering a tournament?
Residence, accessing country, current regional restrictions and the event window. The Championship 2027 participation guide explains the routes and announced schedule.
