How player progression works in eFootball

Progression Points are spent across training categories such as Shooting, Passing, Dribbling, Dexterity, Lower Body Strength, Aerial Strength, Defending, and Goalkeeping. The point cost rises in four-level bands, so later upgrades in one category cost more than the first upgrades.

Use the calculator to check the budget, then confirm the final values on the exact card inside eFootball because card versions, boosters, position training, and live game rules can differ.

Build priorities by player role

  • Striker: finishing and offensive awareness, then acceleration, balance, speed, or aerial strength to match the card.
  • Winger: dribbling, tight possession, acceleration, and speed; add passing or finishing for the intended flank role.
  • Midfielder: passing and ball control, with stamina and defending for two-way roles.
  • Defender: defensive awareness and engagement, then recovery speed, physical contact, and aerial strength.
  • Goalkeeper: balance GK Awareness, Catching, Parrying, Reflexes, and Reach instead of chasing one number alone.

Auto-allocate vs custom builds

Auto-allocate is a quick balanced starting point and generally emphasizes Overall Rating. A custom build is more useful when a player has one specific job—for example, recovery speed on a centre-back or tighter possession on a creator. A higher displayed OVR does not guarantee a better tactical fit.

Why copied builds can fail

Two cards with the same player name may have different base ratings, positions, boosters, level limits, and progression budgets. Verify the card version and available points before copying any eFootball build.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best eFootball player build?

There is no universal best build. The strongest allocation depends on the exact card, its progression budget, position, skills, and role in your tactic.

How does the progression point cost work?

Within one training category, levels 1–4 cost one point each, 5–8 cost two each, 9–12 cost three each, and the cost continues to rise every four levels.

Does Auto-allocate give the best build?

Auto-allocate is a useful balanced starting point, but a custom build may suit a specialized tactical role better.

Why does the same player have different builds?

Different card versions can have different base stats, level limits, positions, boosters, and progression budgets.
